Mizunara: The Library (a Japanese Bar) is an oasis in the concrete jungle of Hong Kong. It has been designed with the utmost detail in mind—whether it is the solid wood bar counter, selected and imported from Japan, the comfortable leather chairs, or the outdoor garden with furniture made of Mizunara whisky barrels from Suntory or individual glassware selected from various parts of Japan.

Our Logo

Our logo is designed by a Japanese designer along with the Mizunara team and brings together shapes and colors reminiscent of Japan and Japanese culture. The floral pattern captures the delicate intricacies and subtleties involved in hospitality and creativity combined with strong strokes and vibrant colors demonstrating inner strength & perseverance.

Our Name

Mizunara is the unique Japanese Oak that is largely used in Japan for maturing Whisky. Whisky matured in Mizunara barrels loses an exceptional amount of water through evaporation, making for a much more condensed final product. The incense and sandalwood aromas they impart to Japanese Whisky make it so unique.

In our name, MIZUNARA captures our Japanese essence in striving for perfection every day in what we do, while delivering a unique experience for our customers.

We believe these values reflect the essence of our bar, creating moments of genuine connection, hospitality, and excellence for every guest.
